Blue Note Records announced today that they will release a new album by the iconic singer Aaron Neville this fall. Produced by Keith and Don Was, the set will feature classic doo-wop covers, hand-picked by Neville himself.

Keith also lent his guitar on some of the tracks, but he's not the only big name to guest. Session players lending their talents to the recording include Greg Leisz on guitar (Beck, Sheryl Crow, Bob Dylan, Ryan Adams), Benmont Tench on organ (founding member of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), George G. Receli on drums (Bob Dylan, James Brown), and Tony Scherr on bass (Bill Frisell, Norah Jones, Rufus Wainwright).

Stay tuned for more on this record, including a release date and title. In the meantime, Neville kicks off a US summer tour on June 23 in Greensboro, NC. Visit Neville's site for a complete listing and updates.
